Andrada Mining (LSE:ATM) reported the fifth batch of diamond drilling assay results from its Lithium Ridge project in Namibia, with multiple intersections returning lithium grades above 1% Li2O.
The results showed down-dip continuity and structural thickening within lithium-bearing pegmatite swarms, according to the company. Spodumene was identified as the primary lithium-bearing mineral, while tin and tantalum mineralisation was also recorded across the pegmatites.
Several drill holes intersected lithium mineralisation in a newly identified pegmatite body outside the main Lithium Ridge trendline, extending the area in which mineralisation has been identified.
Drilling Conducted Under SQM Earn-In
The drilling programme forms part of Stage 1 of Andrada’s earn-in agreement with SQM International.
Andrada said the latest results provide additional geological information that can be used for future resource delineation at Lithium Ridge. The presence of lithium, tin and tantalum is also being assessed as the company evaluates the project’s potential as a polymetallic operation.
The supplied material did not provide individual drill-hole widths or grades beyond noting multiple intersections above 1% Li2O.
Andrada’s Namibia Portfolio
Andrada Mining is a Namibia-focused tin producer with mining and exploration assets targeting critical minerals including lithium and tantalum.
The company is advancing Lithium Ridge in partnership with SQM International under a staged earn-in agreement. Andrada’s broader portfolio focuses on polymetallic pegmatite deposits containing tin, lithium and tantalum.
The company’s shares are listed on AIM and the OTCQB.
