GEO Exploration Limited (LSE:GEO) has completed a series of exploration activities at its Juno Gold Project in Western Australia, including a native title heritage survey, field reconnaissance and assessment of priority magnetic targets. The company has also appointed a geological specialist to support planning for its next drilling programme.
Heritage Survey and Exploration Preparations
GEO Exploration completed its annual native title meeting with the Jidi Jidi Aboriginal Corporation in late September. The organisation represents the native title claimant party covering the southern portion of the Juno Project.
An October heritage survey cleared a new access track and two proposed drill pads at the JUD003 target, which has received funding under Round 34 of the Western Australian Government’s Co-funded Exploration Drilling Programme.
The company also completed field reconnaissance and ground verification of priority magnetic targets across the wider project area. This included identifying access routes and potential water bore locations to support future exploration logistics.
Geological Interpretation to Guide Drilling
GEO Exploration has engaged Dr Finbarr Murphy to conduct a litho-structural geological interpretation and targeting study covering the entire Juno Project.
The study incorporates recently acquired airborne geophysical data alongside magnetic and gravity surveys previously undertaken by the company.
GEO expects the interpretation to inform the selection and prioritisation of targets for its next drilling phase.
Next Steps at Juno
The company plans to use the geological study to guide subsequent exploration and drilling decisions.
Executive Director Omar Ahmad said the government drilling co-funding would support the project’s development plans, while the technical team’s geological assessment would help determine future drilling priorities.
GEO Exploration said it would provide further updates as work at Juno progresses.
