Paperwork

Manx Financial Group PLC (LSE:MFX) reported a 9.6% quarter-on-quarter increase in net interest income to £10.3 million for the third quarter ended 30 September 2026, alongside developments in structured finance, consumer lending and its subsidiary restructuring programme.

The financial services group reported a net loan book of £415.4 million, while its total capital ratio increased from 8.3% to 8.6%. The liquidity ratio stood at 20.2%, and tangible net assets per share remained unchanged at £0.24.

Conister Bank Expands Structured Finance Operations

Conister Bank entered into a new £40 million structured finance facility with Stafferton Capital Limited, with an initial £2.5 million drawn in October.

The bank’s structured finance division now has more than £313 million in documented facilities, a net loan book of £139 million and a lending pipeline exceeding £100 million. The company reported no arrears or provisions within the division and is targeting more than £80 million of lending during 2026.

Conister Bank also signed the final commercial agreement for Conister Halo, a flexible credit product developed with Fiinu plc. End-user testing is planned for December, with the product expected to be customer-ready in the first quarter of 2027.

Payment Assist Investment and Potential IPO

Manx Financial plans additional investment in Payment Assist, its buy-now-pay-later business serving the automotive repair and servicing market.

Payment Assist has more than 1.5 million customers and recorded annual advances of £219 million in 2025. The company sees potential for advances to exceed £300 million in 2027.

The group is also considering a minority initial public offering of Payment Assist following completion of its 2028 financial accounts, potentially during 2029. The proposed listing would provide access to external capital while allowing Manx Financial to retain control.

Manx Ventures Consolidates Finance Subsidiaries

Manx Ventures has begun combining three UK finance businesses under the Triskel Finance name, bringing together The Business Lending Exchange, Manx Collections and Bluestar Business Solutions.

The restructuring, which began in September, includes consolidating management responsibilities under a single managing director.

Manx Financial expects the changes to increase the combined businesses’ annual pretax profit by £1 million in 2028 through reduced overheads and operational efficiencies.

Irish Expansion and AI Development

The group’s application for consumer credit permissions from the Central Bank of Ireland remains under review, with approval expected by the end of 2026.

Manx Financial intends to transfer the licence to Payment Assist following completion of the regulatory process. Operations would begin after the necessary permissions and euro liquidity arrangements are established.

The company also reported progress implementing artificial intelligence across underwriting, collections and administrative functions. Additional systems are being developed for structured finance lending and deposit operations, with management expecting cost reductions during 2027.

Outlook and Upcoming Milestones

Manx Financial expects several operational initiatives to progress during the final quarter of 2026, including its Irish regulatory application and preparations for Conister Halo testing.

The group continues to focus on lending activity, cost management and investment in its financial services subsidiaries.
