Strategic Minerals Advances Redmoor Drilling Beyond 7,500 Metres as New Mineralisation Identified

Strategic Minerals (LSE:SML) has completed more than 7,500 metres of drilling across 13 holes at its Redmoor Tungsten-Copper-Tin Project in Cornwall, identifying further indications of mineralisation as the company progresses towards an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE).

The drilling programme, undertaken by wholly owned subsidiary Cornwall Resources Limited (CRL), includes 11 of the 42 planned resource infill holes and two additional holes supporting metallurgical studies.

Strategic Minerals said the programme remains on schedule and within budget, with all completed holes intersecting the expected Sheeted Vein System (SVS) mineralised structures.

New Tungsten and Copper Mineralisation Identified in Granite

Drillhole CRD054 has intersected SVS-style veining and mineralisation within the underlying granite body, below the currently modelled high-grade mineralised zones.

The intersection represents the first recorded identification of this type of mineralisation within the granite during CRL’s drilling activities at Redmoor.

Geologists visually identified wolframite, associated with tungsten, and chalcopyrite, associated with copper, within the drill core.

The company said the discovery could indicate additional mineralisation potential beyond the existing geological model, although further drilling and laboratory assay results will be required to assess its significance.

Across the programme, completed holes have also shown visually identifiable cassiterite, the principal tin-bearing mineral, alongside tungsten and copper mineralisation.

Drilling Progresses Across Three Locations

Seven drillholes have been completed at Rig 1 on Drill Pad 4, including one metallurgical hole. Results from the first three holes were previously announced in September 2026.

At Rig 2 on Drill Pad 1, three holes totalling more than 1,500 metres have been completed, with a fourth hole underway. This area includes the newly identified mineralisation within the underlying granite.

Rig 3 on Drill Pad 5 has completed three holes targeting the western sections of the Redmoor resource.

All three intersected the full thickness of the SVS and the previously modelled North Tin Zone, where geologists identified visible cassiterite mineralisation.

Additional tin-bearing structures have also been identified north of the existing resource model and North Tin Zone, potentially providing further targets for investigation.

A fourth and final hole at this drilling location is nearing completion.

Laboratory Results Pending as Resource Update Approaches

Strategic Minerals confirmed that 728 samples from four drillholes, CRD045, CRD046, CRD048 and CRD053, have been submitted to an external laboratory for analysis.

A further 155 samples from CRD054 have been dispatched and are in transit to the laboratory.

The results will contribute to the company’s assessment of mineralisation continuity and grade distribution as it prepares an updated Mineral Resource Estimate.

The programme is also collecting geotechnical information to support future mine design studies, while additional metallurgical testwork is planned ahead of a feasibility study.

Management Highlights Potential Resource Extensions

Dennis Rowland, Managing Director of Cornwall Resources, said the drilling programme was progressing according to plan, with 11 resource infill holes and two metallurgical holes completed.

He confirmed that the programme remained within its allocated budget and was generating geological information required for subsequent development studies.

Exploration Manager Rowan Thorne said the completed holes had intersected their intended mineralised targets, with visual logging indicating potential extensions beyond the existing resource model.

He highlighted the identification of SVS mineralisation within the underlying granite as a development warranting further investigation, subject to confirmation from laboratory results.

Drilling will continue across the project, with Rig 1 expected to relocate before a planned short suspension of activities over the Christmas holiday period.

Strategic Minerals acquired full ownership of Cornwall Resources and the Redmoor project in 2019.
