Wickes Group (LSE:WIX) reported a 4.5% increase in third-quarter revenue to £439 million, supported by higher sales volumes and growth in its Retail division, while maintaining its full-year profit expectations.
Retail revenue increased 6.0% during the quarter, with like-for-like sales rising 5.6%. The home improvement retailer reported market share gains across several product categories, including timber, flooring, roofing and garden products.
Sales through its TradePro programme, which serves local trade professionals, increased 8%, while active membership reached 684,000.
Performance in the Design & Installation division was more subdued. Revenue remained broadly unchanged as customers purchasing bespoke kitchens continued to delay larger spending decisions.
Overall project volumes were flat compared with the previous year, although the value of orders received declined year on year.
Wickes continued implementing its property strategy during the period, including new store openings, refurbishments and a freehold property acquisition.
The group operates 231 stores across the UK, alongside digital sales channels serving trade professionals, DIY customers and homeowners undertaking larger renovation projects.
Its Design & Installation business provides kitchens, bathrooms and solar solutions, while the Retail division supplies home improvement products through stores and online platforms.
Despite the differing performances across its two divisions, Wickes maintained its financial outlook for 2026.
Management expects adjusted pre-tax profit to increase by approximately 10% for the full year, in line with current market expectations.
The company cited sales growth and productivity initiatives as factors supporting its guidance.
For investors, the trading update highlights continued growth in Retail and TradePro sales alongside unchanged demand conditions for larger kitchen projects.
The next areas to monitor include whether Retail sales growth continues, developments in Design & Installation order values and the group’s delivery against its full-year adjusted profit guidance.
