The Beauty Tech Group PLC (LSE:TBTG) shares declined 1.8% to 461.5 pence on Friday, 9 October, following the disclosure that two senior executives had sold a combined £6 million worth of shares in the company.

Chief executive Laurence Newman and chief technology officer Andrew Showman each disposed of 750,000 ordinary shares at a price of 400 pence per share.

The combined sale of 1.5 million shares represented approximately 1.4% of The Beauty Tech Group’s issued share capital.

According to the company, the transactions were undertaken for personal asset diversification purposes and marked the first disposals by either executive since its initial public offering in October 2025.

The announcement followed the company’s disclosure on 1 October 2026 of a reverse accelerated bookbuild share buyback programme.

The board acknowledged the timing of the executive disposals in relation to the previously announced buyback, although the two transactions serve different purposes.

While the buyback involves the company repurchasing its own shares, the executive transactions involved the sale of existing holdings by individual directors.

Following the disposals, both Newman and Showman agreed to a 90-day lock-up period restricting further share sales.

The Beauty Tech Group shares opened the session at 470 pence before declining to an intraday low of 422 pence.

The stock subsequently recovered some of its earlier losses to trade at 461.5 pence, remaining below its opening level.

The share price movement coincided with investor consideration of the executive transactions and their timing relative to the company’s capital allocation activities. However, the precise contribution of individual factors to the decline cannot be established.

The wider UK market faced mixed conditions during the session, with lower oil prices providing some support to equity sentiment while elevated government bond yields remained a concern.

The yield on the benchmark UK 10-year government bond had reached 5.527%, its highest level in 19 years, while yields on 20-year and 30-year gilts had also exceeded 6%.

Higher borrowing costs can affect the valuation of growth-oriented companies, although no direct financial impact on The Beauty Tech Group was identified in the supplied information.

The company’s shares were also trading relatively close to their reported 52-week high of 491 pence before the latest decline.

Analyst estimates indicated an average 12-month price target of 512.67 pence, with all six analysts covering the company maintaining positive recommendations.

These targets represent analysts’ expectations rather than guarantees of future share price performance.

The latest trading session leaves investors assessing the executive share disposals alongside the company’s previously announced buyback programme and broader UK market conditions.
